Download datasheet (PDF)The right IP phone depends on who will use it, how many calls they handle, whether the desk has a network cable, and which PBX you use. Confirm these points before requesting a quotation.
Basic and essential phones suit staff who mainly make and receive calls. High-end phones with larger colour screens suit reception desks, managers and staff who handle many calls, transfers and conference calls.
Wired phones connect with a network cable and are the most reliable choice for fixed desks. Wi-Fi phones suit desks or rooms without a cable point, or offices that are often rearranged.
With a PoE network switch, one cable powers the phone and carries calls. Without PoE, each phone needs its own power adapter.
Most staff need one extension. Receptionists and supervisors who handle several calls or monitor colleagues’ lines benefit from phones with more line keys and BLF keys.
Grandstream phones work with Grandstream UCM systems and most SIP-based PBXs. Older or proprietary systems may not support them, so send us your PBX brand and model first.
If your current phones are failing, send us the phone and PBX model and a photo of the connections. We can recommend replacements that work with your existing system.
For general staff desks, the GRP2602P covers everyday calling, and the GRP2602G adds Gigabit ports for offices with a Gigabit network. Where staff monitor colleagues’ lines or handle transfers, the GRP2604P adds BLF keys. For desks or rooms without a network cable, choose the Wi-Fi GRP2612W or GRP2613W. Reception desks and busy call handlers are best served by the GXP2140 or GXP2170, which have larger colour screens. For basic calling at the lowest cost, the GXP1625 is a simple option. Tell us how your team works and we’ll recommend the right mix.
IP phone prices in Oman depend on the model, screen, Wi-Fi, number of lines and quantity. Essential desk phones cost less than Wi-Fi and colour-screen models. The phone is only part of the budget. Also allow for a PoE network switch or a power adapter for each phone, compatibility with your current PBX, and installation and configuration if you want us to set the phones up. Send us the number of phones and your PBX model for a quotation.
An IP phone (Internet Protocol phone) is a desk phone that makes calls over your computer network instead of a traditional copper telephone line. It connects to an office IP PBX or to a VoIP phone service, which handles extensions and outside calls.
Yes, but not on its own. Once it is registered to a PBX or VoIP service, it makes and receives internal and external calls like any office phone. Plugged into a normal analog phone socket, it will not work.
The phone is connected to the office network, powered by PoE or an adapter, and registered to the PBX with an extension number. On Grandstream UCM systems, Grandstream phones can be provisioned automatically. We handle the setup and test calls on site.
These names usually describe the same thing: a desk phone that makes calls over a network. “VoIP” is the technology, “SIP” is the standard most phones and PBXs use to talk to each other, and “IP phone” is the device itself. What matters when buying is not the name, but whether the phone is compatible with your PBX, how many lines you need, whether it needs Wi-Fi, and what screen suits the user.
TAOMAN supplies and installs IP phones in Muscat, Seeb, Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa, Sur, Ibri, Barka, Buraimi, Duqm and Khasab, and anywhere else in Oman.
It depends on the model and quantity. Essential desk phones cost less than Wi-Fi and colour-screen models. Send us the models and quantity for a quotation.
Most SIP-based PBXs support Grandstream phones, but some older or proprietary systems do not. Send us your PBX brand and model and we will check before you buy.
No, but it helps. With a PoE switch, one network cable powers the phone and carries calls. Without one, each phone needs its own power adapter.
In most cases, yes. Extension numbers are set on the PBX, so we can match your existing numbering.
Both are SIP desk phones. GRP is Grandstream’s newer carrier-grade range, designed for easy deployment. GXP is its long-established range, with basic and high-end colour-screen models.
Yes. We deliver, install and configure the phones, register them to your PBX and test them, in Muscat and across Oman.
Send us the phone models or the type of desks you need to equip, the quantity, and your PBX brand and model. We will recommend suitable phones and send a quotation.
Send us your PBX brand and model, the number of phones you need, and whether you need Wi-Fi or reception phones. We’ll confirm compatibility and send a quotation for supply and installation.
