What Is Inside the File
The workbook has two sheets — everything you use is on the first one:

How the Automatic Marking Works
Set the month and year at the top of the Attendance sheet and the register marks each day for you: Fridays and Saturdays are marked R (rest day), and any date in the Holidays sheet is marked H. Hours worked on R and H days are counted at the 2x rate instead of the regular rate. Night overtime hours (9 PM to 5 AM) have their own column — type them in once for the month, and they are paid at 1.5x.
Switch Ramadan mode to Yes at the top of the sheet and the standard working day changes from 8 hours to 6, so overtime starts after 6 hours instead of 8 — matching Oman Labour Law (Royal Decree 53/2023). The hourly wage is calculated as basic salary divided by 240 (30 days x 8 hours), the common basis in Oman.

Check the Holiday Dates Before Using
Islamic holiday dates in the 2026 list are estimates and depend on moon sighting. Before running payroll, check the official announcement and edit the date in the Holidays sheet if needed — the register updates automatically.
When the Sheet Is Not Enough
This sheet works well up to around 25 staff with one shift pattern. Once you have more staff, multiple shifts, several branches or you are typing in and out times from memory or paper, the sheet becomes the bottleneck.
